Levin, Rojas, Camassar & Reck LLC Presents First Federal Bellwether Trial in Preterm Infant Formula MDL

Chicago, Illinois--(Newsfile Corp. - August 28, 2026) - Attorneys from Levin, Rojas, Camassar & Reck LLC are participating in the trial of Inman v. Mead Johnson & Company, LLC, the first federal bellwether trial in the multidistrict litigation concerning preterm infant nutritional products and necrotizing enterocolitis, or NEC.

Jose Rojas is serving as lead trial counsel. He is participating in the trial with Fu Debrosse and Je Yon Jung of Dicello Levitt and Pearl Robertson of Irpino Law as part of the Plaintiffs' Trial Team.

The case is being tried before the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The plaintiff is Alexis Inman, and the defendant is Mead Johnson & Company, LLC.

The Inman case is one of the bellwether cases selected through the MDL process. Mead Johnson selected Inman as one of its defense-selected bellwether cases. The matter is currently proceeding before a jury.

The federal multidistrict litigation is designated MDL No. 3026 and is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The Inman trial is the first federal bellwether trial in the MDL to proceed to a jury.

The court issued pretrial rulings concerning the evidence and testimony that may be presented during the trial. The case is now proceeding through the trial phase.

Attorney Rojas and the trial team are withholding further comment while the proceedings remain pending.
