Blocks large-scale Web DDoS attacks without disrupting legitimate traffic
MAHWAH, N.J., Nov. 26, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a global leader in application security and delivery solutions for multi-cloud environments, today announced it signed an agreement with a top 10 airport in India. The airport plans to leverage Radware’s Cloud DDoS Protection and Cloud Application Protection Services and work with Radware’s Emergency Response Team in response to a rise in cyber attacks. The cyber investment marks an expansion in the airport’s existing relationship with Radware. The airport previously deployed Radware’s Alteon® application delivery controller.
The airport ranks among the busiest in India. It has an infrastructure that connects to more than 30 countries and 20 airlines, and serves more than 10 million travelers annually.
Radware’s unique ability to automatically detect and mitigate large-scale HTTPS floods, also known as Web DDoS attacks, influenced the airport’s recent buying decision. According to Radware’s H1 2024 Global Threat Analysis Report, Web DDoS attacks are making significant gains in frequency and intensity, surging globally 265% between the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024.
