Operating globally, Posco International Corporation is a diversified enterprise with core activities spanning international trade, natural resource exploration and development, and the creation and management of infrastructure projects. Its extensive trading portfolio includes the global buying, selling, and re-export of numerous steel commodities, from raw materials and semi-finished goods to various finished products like long steel, hot-rolled steel, steel plates, cold-rolled steel, and galvanized steel. In the energy sector, Posco International covers the entire value chain, from exploring, developing, and producing natural gas and crude oil, to handling LNG transportation via pipelines, liquefaction, shipping, trading, regasification terminals, and bunkering services. It also operates as an independent power producer, overseeing electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. Beyond hydrocarbons, the company's resource development arm engages in the exploration, extraction, and production of minerals such as bituminous coal, copper, and a range of other valuable ores. The agricultural division focuses on oil extraction from plantation-harvested fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) and the subsequent manufacturing and distribution of oilseed products derived from them. Furthermore, it manages the supply of rice and operates a dedicated grain export terminal for various staples including soybeans, wheat, and corn. Its chemical and petroleum offerings include the distribution of refined petroleum products, synthetic and natural rubbers, chemical fertilizers, and inorganic chemicals. The company also deals in a broad spectrum of polyesters and polymers, encompassing synthetic fiber intermediates, various synthetic resins, cotton yarn, fabric, and synthetic filament yarns and fibers. Additionally, Posco International facilitates trade in the automotive sector, handling a wide array of vehicle components like engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, motor parts, tires, batteries, and wheels, as well as commercial and passenger vehicles themselves. The company also plays a significant role in the global market for non-ferrous metals and steelmaking inputs, engaging in the export, import, and general commerce of materials such as copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, nickel, and tin. This extends to other non-ferrous categories, including titanium, along with non-ferrous scrap metals and ferroalloys. Established in 1967 and headquartered in Incheon, South Korea, the entity was originally named Posco Daewoo Corporation before rebranding as Posco International Corporation in March 2019.
