As of December 31, 2021, Green Plains Inc.'s infrastructure included 29 facilities for ethanol storage, 4 fuel terminal sites, and a substantial fleet comprising approximately 2,300 leased railcars. The company, originally known as Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc., officially changed its name to Green Plains Inc. in May 2014.
