Vanguard Global Capital Stewards Equity Accumulation is an actively managed equity fund that aims to increase the value of investments over the long term through capital growth and income. The fund invests at least 90% of its assets in shares of large companies worldwide, selected based on their strong corporate governance, responsible capital allocation, and adherence to sustainability criteria. It targets companies that balance stakeholder interests and consider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. The fund also includes specific climate alignment criteria, investing only in companies with net-zero science-based targets, public active emissions reduction targets, or significantly lower carbon intensity than their industry average. It excludes companies involved in thermal coal, oil sands, tobacco, nuclear weapons, and controversial weapons. The portfolio typically comprises 35 to 45 companies across various countries, sectors, and industries.
