PG&E Corporation, operating primarily through its subsidiary Pacific Gas and Electric Company, is responsible for supplying electricity and natural gas to consumers throughout northern and central California in the United States. Its power generation portfolio draws from diverse sources, including nuclear, hydroelectric, fossil fuels, fuel cells, and solar (photovoltaic) technologies. As of December 31, 2021, the company managed a vast infrastructure network. This included approximately 18,000 circuit miles of interconnected transmission lines, supported by 33 electric transmission substations.
