Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. operates across four primary business divisions: housing, urban infrastructure and environmental products (UIEP), high-performance plastics (HPP), and medical. The Housing segment manages the entire lifecycle of residential properties, encompassing the development, construction, sale, and refurbishment of unit homes, along with real estate and related residential services. Within the UIEP segment, the company manufactures, installs, and distributes products such as PVC and polyethylene pipes and fittings, materials and methods for pipe and drain renewal, robust reinforced plastic pipes, general construction materials, and fiber-reinforced foamed urethane. The HPP division focuses on creating and marketing specialized products including interlayer films used in laminated glass, diverse polyolefin foams, adhesive tapes, fine particles for LCD screens, photosensitive materials, functional resins for infrastructure applications, and certain diagnostic pharmaceuticals. The Medical segment is dedicated to the production and sale of diagnostic reagents, analytical instruments, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and chemical intermediates. Sekisui Chemical maintains a global presence, with operations spanning Japan, the United States, Europe, and other regions across Asia and internationally. Established in 1947 as Sekisui Sangyo Co., Ltd., the company officially adopted its current name, Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., in 1948. Its headquarters are located in Osaka, Japan.
