The fund's investment strategy encompasses a wide array of assets, including publicly traded equities both globally and within the local market. It participates in initial public offerings (IPOs) and subsequent capital increases of listed firms, as well as engaging in private placements for unlisted companies approaching an IPO stage. Furthermore, the fund allocates capital to various public and private equity funds, index funds, and money market funds, while also maintaining cash liquidity and conducting Murabaha transactions. A dedicated "Alkhabeer Global Equity Index" has been custom-built for this fund. An independent index service provider is tasked with calculating the valuations of its constituent companies and managing the index on the fund's behalf. This index is designed to include a diversified selection of companies by sector and size from the world's major capital markets, alongside leading enterprises listed in Saudi Arabia. Companies are rigorously filtered based on a market value exceeding US$100 million and a daily trading value surpassing US$1 million. The index primarily consists of 160 Sharia-compliant global "family companies," augmented by the ten largest publicly traded companies on the Saudi stock exchange. The global component is further categorized by free-float market capitalization: the top 70 large-cap companies, the top 50 mid-cap companies, and the top 40 small-cap companies.
