Azbil Corporation is a global provider of advanced automation solutions, operating through three principal divisions: Building Automation Business, Advanced Automation Business, and Life Automation Business. The Building Automation division delivers comprehensive control and security systems, including automatic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions, along with engineering and associated services. These offerings cater to a wide array of commercial and production facilities, such as office complexes, research centers, manufacturing plants, data centers, government buildings, hotels, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and transportation hubs. Its Advanced Automation division specializes in providing industrial automation control systems, switches, sensors, and ongoing engineering and maintenance support to various industrial plants and manufacturing facilities. This segment's clientele spans diverse sectors including petrochemical, chemical, oil refining, power generation, gas distribution, iron and steel, waste management, water and sewerage, pulp and paper, maritime industries, food processing, automotive, electrical and electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing, in addition to supplying manufacturing equipment. The Life Automation division focuses on supplying essential meters for utility infrastructure, residential central air-conditioning systems, and tools for life sciences research. It also manufactures and markets specialized production and environmental equipment for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, complemented by associated services. Key customers include gas providers, local governmental bodies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and residential construction companies. Founded in 1906 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company underwent a name change from Yamatake Corporation to Azbil Corporation in April 2012.
