The Imaging and Measurement Instruments segment provides a range of cameras for scientific and industrial applications, as well as specialized instruments for use in the fields of pharmaceutical development, semiconductor manufacturing, X-ray nondestructive inspection, spectrophotometry, and optical communications. Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. is also involved in the semiconductor laser and hotel operation businesses. The company was formerly known as Hamamatsu TV Co., Ltd.
