This fund offers a distinct strategy for gaining long-term exposure to Bitcoin. It primarily invests in other ETFs that hold Bitcoin, such as the Purpose Bitcoin ETF. To generate income, it actively sells covered call and/or put options on 10% to 50% of its assets. These options can be either exchange-listed or privately negotiated over-the-counter. They typically have strike prices at or above the current market value (at-the-money or out-of-the-money) and are generally expected to expire within one to three months. The portfolio managers determine the specific allocation for option writing, the types of options utilized, and their terms, informed by their market outlook and the attractive premiums available. The fund's core objective is to deliver a combination of total returns, consistent income (yield), and long-term capital growth. Crucially, this options strategy is not employed to reduce portfolio volatility. Beyond inherent investment risks, investors should carefully review the tax implications, as some transactions may result in taxable ordinary income instead of capital gains. Furthermore, if a specific share class needs to hedge against currency fluctuations, the fund reserves the right to use other derivative instruments.
