CT Private Equity Trust PLC deploys capital across three primary strategies: indirect secondary investments, direct investments, and allocations to other private equity funds. Within its fund-of-funds approach, the trust targets a diverse range of vehicles including private equity, offshore, buy-out, venture, mezzanine, and investment trusts. For its direct investment activities, the fund spans various stages such as mezzanine financing, early-stage, mid-stage, and late-stage venture capital, middle-market, later-stage, mature, and buyout transactions. The trust maintains strict portfolio limits at the point of investment: no more than 15% of its total assets may be invested in UK-listed investment companies, with the same 15% ceiling for non-UK listed investment companies. Direct private equity co-investments are capped at 33% of total assets. Furthermore, investments outside the United States, United Kingdom, and Continental Europe are restricted to a maximum of 10% of total assets. While pursuing a global investment mandate, the fund demonstrates a notable inclination towards the mid-market segment in the United Kingdom and Europe.
