The DWS Global Macro Fund - Class A aims to generate comprehensive returns for its investors. The fund strategically allocates capital across a broad spectrum of traditional asset classes, including both common and preferred stocks, fixed-income bonds, structured debt instruments, money market securities, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), in addition to maintaining cash positions. Crucially, the fund operates with considerable flexibility in its investment strategy, imposing no predetermined limitations on its exposure to any particular asset class, provided that the established risk management parameters are met. Beyond these core investments, the fund also has the discretion to incorporate non-traditional asset classes into its portfolio. These can encompass real estate (including Real Estate Investment Trusts or REITs), infrastructure projects, convertible securities, various commodities, and foreign currencies. Additionally, its potential holdings may extend to asset-backed securities, various short-term debt instruments, and other cash equivalent investments.
