The benchmark index is designed to gauge the equity market performance within global emerging economies, incorporating large and mid-capitalization companies throughout these nations and covering approximately 85% of each country's free float-adjusted market value. To achieve its objective, the fund primarily invests in a diverse portfolio of equities. While this portfolio typically generates the majority of the fund's returns, its specific holdings usually differ from those directly within the index. The ETF also employs unfunded swap agreements with approved counterparties. These contracts facilitate the exchange of any performance difference between the index and the fund's equity basket, aiming for more precise and stable index tracking than pure physical replication could achieve.
