The EQL fund seeks to mirror the performance of the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index. To accomplish this, it invests in either units of the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP, traded on NYSE Arca) or directly in securities of U.S.-based companies. While this index contains the same constituent corporations as the standard capitalization-weighted S&P 500, a key divergence is that every single company within it is allotted an identical 0.20% weighting, which is reset during each quarterly rebalancing event.
