This fund allocates its capital across a diverse portfolio of Fidelity investment vehicles, including U.S. stock funds, international equity funds (spanning both developed and emerging markets), fixed-income portfolios, and money market instruments. It employs a dynamic asset allocation strategy that gradually shifts towards a more conservative stance, eventually aligning its investment mix with that of the Fidelity Freedom® Income Fund. This target allocation, which the fund is expected to reach approximately 10 to 19 years after its 2005 inception date, consists of roughly 17% in American equities, 7% in global equities, 46% in bond holdings, and 30% in cash equivalents.
