This fund typically allocates a minimum of 80% of its assets to fixed-rate, investment-grade debt securities that are part of the Bloomberg U.S. 1-5 Year Government/Credit Bond Index. This benchmark is market-value weighted and comprises bonds from U.S. Treasury, U.S. government-related, and U.S. corporate sectors, all with maturities between one and five years. Consistent with this index, the fund usually targets a dollar-weighted average maturity of three years or less. Its investments may include debt from both domestic and international entities.
