This ETF provides investors with direct investment exposure to leading, highly tradable North American gold mining companies. It aims to generate income by actively selling covered call options, a strategy historically known to produce greater yields during periods of market turbulence. However, it's important to note that this approach inherently caps potential gains from the underlying stocks. GLCC is designed to offer consistent monthly income while also providing prospects for capital appreciation. Specifically, after accounting for expenses, the fund endeavors to track the performance of a diversified index of North American listed gold producers (currently the Mirae Asset North American Listed Gold Producers Index) and distribute at least monthly payouts derived from dividends and call option premiums. To both mitigate downside risk and enhance income generation, GLCC employs a dynamic covered call option writing program.
