The Invesco UK Gilts UCITS ETF endeavors to match the overall return of the Bloomberg Sterling Gilt Index (the "Reference Index"), after deducting associated costs. Earnings from the fund are distributed to investors every quarter. The Reference Index acts as a principal benchmark for investment-grade, fixed-interest public debt obligations denominated in GBP, issued by the United Kingdom. It exclusively comprises conventional government bonds, specifically omitting inflation-indexed securities. Furthermore, the Sterling Gilt Index is a constituent element within larger market measures such as the Sterling Aggregate, Pan-European Aggregate, Global Aggregate, and Global Treasury Indices. Both the fund's investment holdings and the benchmark index undergo periodic rebalancing and reconstruction each month. The portfolio management team pursues the fund's objective by deploying sophisticated modelling tools and techniques to assemble a representative selection of index securities, thereby reflecting the full index's characteristics. This strategic 'sampling' methodology aims to mirror the index's performance as precisely as possible, while concurrently mitigating the higher expenses associated with a complete replication approach. This particular ETF operates under a passive management framework. Therefore, an investment in this vehicle represents the acquisition of shares in a passively managed, index-tracking instrument, as opposed to direct ownership of the underlying assets held by the fund.
