The fund typically commits at least 80% of its total assets, including any capital acquired through borrowing for investment purposes, to a diverse array of short-term fixed income instruments. This allocation encompasses both direct debt securities and derivative contracts structured to replicate the economic performance of such holdings. Furthermore, a substantial majority of the portfolio's assets are channeled into debt securities that are classified as investment-grade when initially acquired, or are otherwise judged by Lord Abbett to possess equivalent credit quality.
