WisdomTree Physical Gold is an Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) that meets UCITS eligibility criteria. It provides investors with a straightforward, cost-effective, and secure avenue to invest in physical gold, delivering returns that track the gold spot price, less its management fee. The ETC's value is underpinned by actual, allocated gold bullion, securely stored by its custodian, HSBC Bank plc. Only gold bars adhering to the rigorous 'Good Delivery' standards set by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) are accepted and held by the custodian. Each individual gold bar is meticulously separated, uniquely identified, and specifically assigned. To illustrate its performance, if the spot price of physical gold appreciates by 1% within a single day, the ETC's value will similarly increase by 1%, before accounting for any fees. Conversely, a 1% decline in the gold spot price over the same period would result in a corresponding 1% decrease in the ETC's value, again prior to fees.
