This fund, managed by its investment adviser, primarily allocates its capital to the equity shares of small-capitalization companies. Under typical conditions, at least 80% of the fund's net assets are invested in these small-cap equities. Although the portfolio's main focus is usually on securities of U.S. businesses, it is permitted to invest up to 10% of its net assets (measured when the investment is made) in companies based in foreign countries.
