WisdomTree Short CNY Long USD is a UCITS-compliant, fully backed Exchange Traded Product (ETP) designed to offer investors synthetic exposure to the performance of the Chinese Renminbi (CNY) versus the US Dollar (USD), specifically profiting from a depreciation of the CNY. This ETP mirrors the performance of the MSFXSM Short Chinese Renminbi Total Return Index (MSCECNYS). Its total return is derived from the daily movements of foreign exchange forward contracts that effectively short the CNY against the USD, complemented by any accrued interest income. This return is subsequently adjusted to cover the product's associated fees and operational expenses. To illustrate, if the CNY were to strengthen by 1% against the USD over a single day, the ETP's value would decline by 1%, disregarding any charges. Conversely, if the CNY were to weaken by 1% against the USD within the same day, the ETP's value would rise by 1%, before the deduction of fees.
