This Invesco ETF (SPEX.L) aims to mirror the total return performance, net of fees, of its benchmark, the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index. Unlike market-capitalization-weighted indices, this underlying index assigns an identical weighting to every company within the broader S&P 500. It is designed to provide size-neutral exposure to the US large-cap equity market, encompassing approximately 80% of its total available capitalization, and undergoes rebalancing every three months. To achieve its objective, the fund primarily employs physical replication, acquiring and holding, where feasible, all the constituent securities of the reference index in their specified equal proportions, adjusting its portfolio in line with the index's quarterly changes. As a passively managed, index-tracking vehicle, investing here means purchasing shares in the fund itself, not a direct ownership stake in its underlying stock holdings.
