The fund aims to generate the highest possible current income and deliver above-average total returns, all while adhering to sound investment management principles throughout a complete market cycle. Ordinarily, at least 80% of the portfolio's total value, including any borrowed capital, is dedicated to debt instruments. Up to five percent of its net assets may be allocated to lower-quality, higher-yield bonds, commonly identified as "junk bonds."
