Under typical conditions, this fund commits at least 80% of its total net assets, inclusive of any borrowed capital utilized for investment, to the stock offerings of substantial corporations. For this fund's investment strategy, a substantial corporation is defined as one whose market valuation, at the moment of acquisition, falls within the spectrum of companies found in the Russell 1000 Index. Up to one-fifth of the fund's portfolio may also be allocated to non-domestic securities.
