Description
UK Commercial Property REIT (UKCPT), established in September 2006, is a Guernsey-domiciled investment company. Its shares are publicly traded and fully listed on the London Stock Exchange, where it is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index. The company's inaugural capital raise generated £530 million. This significant sum was subsequently deployed to purchase a portfolio of commercial properties from closed life funds under the management of Phoenix Group Holdings. This strategic move offered a dual benefit to those life funds: it allowed them to consolidate their various property holdings and simultaneously decrease their direct exposure to real estate by enabling UKCPT to bring in a new, wider pool of investors.
