This fund endeavors to replicate the investment results of the MSCI USA SELECT SCREENED Index, which targets a selection of prominent large and mid-capitalization American companies. The index rigorously screens out companies that do not meet specific environmental, social, and governance (ESG) benchmarks. Specifically, it omits those involved with controversial weaponry; firms holding an MSCI ESG Rating of 'CCC' or that are unrated; and issuers generating designated revenue from tobacco, conventional or nuclear arms, civilian firearms, thermal coal, unconventional or arctic oil and gas extraction, and palm oil. Any company scoring zero on the MSCI Controversies Score is also excluded. A notable characteristic of this index is its lower greenhouse gas intensity when compared to its un-screened benchmark. Its composition undergoes a re-assessment every three months.
