The Bloomberg MSCI USD Liquid Investment Grade Corporate SRI PAB Index is designed to measure the returns of a particular segment of the bond market. This segment comprises US dollar-denominated corporate bonds, originating from both domestic and international issuers, which are rated investment grade. To qualify, bonds must possess a remaining maturity of at least three years and have a minimum outstanding value of $750 million. A 2% cap is applied to the weight of any single issuer. In terms of sustainability, the index is highly selective. It only incorporates bonds from companies that achieve an MSCI ESG rating of BBB or higher and an MSCI ESG Controversy score of 1 or above. Furthermore, it aligns with Paris Agreement objectives by targeting an initial 50% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions relative to the parent universe, followed by a consistent 7% annual decarbonization path. Certain sectors and activities are strictly excluded, including alcohol, tobacco, gambling, adult entertainment, genetically modified organisms (GMO), nuclear power, civilian firearms, and specific military weapons, as detailed in the index's exclusion rules. For comprehensive methodological details, refer to the Bloomberg Indices website.
