The fund's primary objective is to achieve long-term capital appreciation. It pursues this goal by employing a dual-faceted research approach that integrates both data-driven quantitative analysis and qualitative assessment of potential investments. A core tenet of its strategy is to commit at least 80% of its total net assets (including any capital obtained through borrowing for investment purposes) to a diverse portfolio of equity securities issued by small-capitalization companies. Within this allocation, there is a strong focus on shares from U.S.-domiciled entities. The fund also maintains the flexibility to engage in short-sale transactions, provided that such positions do not exceed 25% of its net assets. Furthermore, it may expand its investment universe to include equity securities of Canadian issuers and American Depositary Receipts (ADRs).
