It also supports import/export transactions and offers advisory services, particularly for the introduction and implementation of computer systems. Beyond core banking, IBK manages treasury operations for both local and foreign currencies, engages in investment activities, and offers installment financing and venture capital services. Further specialized services include investment trust asset management, consultation, entrusted investment, and future funds management, alongside loan collection and credit research. The institution is also involved in securities and futures trading, develops and sells information systems, and provides various insurance and pension contracts, including retirement and annuity options. Additionally, it safeguards depositors under the depositor protection act, manages investment associations as per the commercial code of the Republic of Korea, and oversees the capital distribution and management of new technology and Korean venture investment associations.
