The company was formerly known as Guangdong Fokai Expressway Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Guangdong Provincial Expressway Development Co., Ltd. in June 1993. Guangdong Provincial Expressway Development Co., Ltd. was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, the People's Republic of China.
