AUO Corporation, established in 1996 and headquartered in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, is a leading technology company primarily engaged in the research, development, production, and sale of thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs) and a wide array of other flat panel display technologies. The company's operations are strategically divided into two main segments: Display and Energy. Within its Display division, AUO not only manufactures core TFT-LCD panels but also expands its product portfolio to include TFT-LCD modules, television sets and their components, backlight units, automotive displays, and precision plastic parts.
