Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco), along with its subsidiaries, specializes in the production and global distribution of alumina, primary aluminum, aluminum alloys, and carbon products. Its operations are structured into five key divisions: Alumina, Primary Aluminum, Trading, Energy, and Corporate & Other. The Alumina division oversees the mining and acquisition of bauxite and other essential raw materials, processing them into alumina for commercial sale, as well as manufacturing refined alumina, gallium, and various forms of alumina bauxite. The Primary Aluminum division is responsible for securing alumina, other raw and supplementary materials, and electrical power to produce and market aluminum and its derivatives, such as carbon, aluminum alloys, and other electrolytic aluminum products. The Trading division facilitates the commerce of alumina, primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum products, other non-ferrous metals, coal, and raw/supplemental materials, in addition to offering logistics and transportation solutions to external clients. The Energy division engages in coal mining, generates and supplies electricity from thermal, wind, and solar power sources to regional grids, and manufactures power-related equipment. The Corporate & Other division manages research and development initiatives and other activities related to the aluminum industry. Furthermore, Chalco is involved in the acquisition, development, and distribution of bauxite mines and limestone ore, provides engineering project management, and conducts international import and export operations.
