Description

Itochu Enex Co.,Ltd., a Tokyo-based subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation, was established in 1961 and conducts petroleum and gas operations both domestically in Japan and internationally. Formerly known as Itochu Fuel Corporation until its name change in July 2001, the company structures its diverse activities across four primary divisions. The Home-Life division caters to residential and specialized needs, providing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), town gas, industrial and specialty gases, electricity, kerosene, and gas for medical and automotive uses. It also offers smart energy solutions like household equipment, solar power systems, ENEFARM residential fuel cells, and ENE-POWABOL lithium-ion storage systems, along with welding materials. This segment supplies LPG and city gas to 1.5 million customers and engages in home remodeling and gas container pressure resistance inspections. For the automotive sector, the Car-Life division sells gasoline, kerosene, diesel, electricity, vehicles, and related lifestyle and automotive goods. It extends credit card and IT support services, offers car and terminal tank rentals, and is involved in the import, export, and trading of petroleum products. This division manages approximately 1,687 car-life gas stations and 430 rent-a-car service locations. The Industrial Business division supplies a broad range of fuels and products to corporate clients, including gasoline, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil, gas-to-liquids fuel, marine fuel, LPG, corporate fleet refueling cards, asphalt, and high-grade urea solution. Additionally, it undertakes environmental services such as the recycling of fly ash and the recovery and recycling of slop. Lastly, the Power & Utility division is focused on energy generation and distribution. It sells electricity derived from various sources, including coal, natural gas, wind, hydro, and photovoltaic power, and also provides steam. This division's services encompass district heating, comprehensive energy solutions, electricity and heat supply, power supply/demand management, and asset management.
