The Global Banking segment serves corporate and institutional clients with a full suite of lending offerings, such as commercial loans, leases, commitment facilities, trade finance, and both commercial real estate and asset-based lending. It also supplies treasury solutions for cash management, foreign exchange, short-term investing, and merchant services, coupled with working capital management solutions. Furthermore, this segment provides debt and equity underwriting and distribution, along with advisory services, including those related to mergers. Within the Global Markets division, services include market-making, financing, securities clearing, settlement, and custody. This segment also enables clients to manage risk using sophisticated financial products based on interest rates, equities, credit, currencies, and commodities derivatives, as well as foreign exchange, fixed-income, and mortgage-related instruments. As of December 31, 2021, Bank of America catered to approximately 67 million consumer and small business clients. Its robust infrastructure included roughly 4,200 physical retail financial centers, about 16,000 ATMs, and digital banking platforms actively utilized by approximately 41 million users.
