Description

BAE Systems plc, founded in 1970 and based in Farnborough, United Kingdom, operates as a global provider of defense, aerospace, and security technologies. The company is structured into five primary divisions: The Electronic Systems segment focuses on designing and delivering cutting-edge electronic warfare systems, navigation aids, electro-optical sensors, digital engine and flight controls for both military and commercial use, precise guidance and seeker solutions, military communication systems and data links, persistent surveillance capabilities, space-grade electronics, and electric drive propulsion technologies. The Cyber & Intelligence division is dedicated to modernizing, maintaining, and bolstering the cyber resilience of aircraft, radar, missile systems, and mission-critical applications to identify and deter threats to national security. It offers comprehensive systems engineering, integration, and sustainment for crucial weaponry, C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), and cybersecurity. This segment also provides data intelligence solutions to protect against large-scale national threats, secures networks and data from attacks, and delivers specialized security and intelligence services to the UK government and allied international administrations. Its portfolio further includes anti-fraud and regulatory compliance solutions, as well as enterprise data and digital services. The Platforms & Services (US) segment manufactures combat vehicles, various weapons, and ammunition, in addition to providing ship repair services and managing government-owned munitions production facilities. The Air segment undertakes the development, manufacturing, upgrading, and ongoing support for combat and jet trainer aircraft. Lastly, the Maritime segment designs, constructs, and maintains naval vessels such as surface ships and submarines, along with torpedoes, radar systems, and integrated command and combat systems. This division also supplies naval gun systems, a range of naval weapon systems, missile launchers, and precision munitions.
