This segment also offers advanced fleet management solutions, autonomous vehicle capabilities, select work tools, and performance-enhancing safety services. Through its Energy & Transportation segment, Caterpillar delivers a comprehensive range of products including reciprocating engines, generator sets, integrated power solutions, turbines and related services, remanufactured engine components, centrifugal gas compressors, and diesel-electric locomotives with associated rail products. These are primarily utilized in the marine, oil and gas, industrial, and electric power generation sectors. The company's Financial Products division supports its customers by offering a variety of financial services, including operating and finance leases, installment sale contracts, working capital loans, wholesale financing plans, and insurance and risk management products for equipment such as vehicles, power generation facilities, and marine vessels. Finally, the All Other operating segment produces essential components and consumables like filters, fluids, undercarriages, and ground-engaging tools. Originally established in 1925 as Caterpillar Tractor Co., the company adopted its current name, Caterpillar Inc., in 1986 and is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois.
