Physically, Citizens maintains an extensive network, operating approximately 1,200 branches across 14 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. This is supplemented by 114 non-branch retail and commercial offices in national markets, and customers have access to roughly 3,300 automated teller machines (ATMs). Established in 1828, the company adopted its current name, Citizens Financial Group, Inc., in April 2014, having previously operated as RBS Citizens Financial Group, Inc. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Providence, Rhode Island.
