CHS Inc. is a diversified global agribusiness enterprise that delivers essential agricultural commodities, food products, and energy solutions to businesses and consumers across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. The company's extensive operations are structured into four key segments: Energy, Agribusiness, Nitrogen Production, and Foods. In its Energy division, CHS manages petroleum refineries and pipeline networks. It is deeply involved in the sourcing, marketing, and distribution of a broad spectrum of refined fuels, including gasoline, diesel, propane, and other natural gas liquids, as well as the blending and sale of various lubricants. The company also refines crude oil into petroleum products, which are then sold under the Cenex brand to a wide network of approximately 1,500 member cooperatives and independent retailers, complemented by comprehensive transportation services. Within its Agribusiness and Foods segments, CHS actively markets grains and oilseeds, and provides critical agricultural inputs such as seeds, crop nutrients, crop protection products, animal feed, and animal health solutions. It transforms raw agricultural materials into diverse food items like refined oils, meal, soy flour, and processed sunflower products. Furthermore, it manufactures, packages, and distributes a variety of vegetable oil-based consumer goods, including packaged oils, margarine, mayonnaise, flavored dressings, and sauces. The Nitrogen Production segment focuses on manufacturing and selling nitrogen-based products, notably methanol, UAN (urea ammonium nitrate), and urea. Beyond its core product and service offerings, CHS provides financial assistance to the agricultural community, including specialized loans for both cooperatives and individual producers, along with valuable consulting and commodity risk management services. CHS Inc. was established in 1936 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
