The Columbia Large Cap Enhanced Core Fund's primary objective is to achieve an overall investment return that surpasses the performance of the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500® Index, before considering any fees or operational costs. To accomplish this, the fund allocates at least 80% of its total assets (including any capital obtained through borrowing) into securities directly linked to the S&P 500. These investments encompass common shares of companies within the index, convertible bonds or preferred stocks that can be exchanged for such equities, and financial derivatives designed to replicate the index's or its components' returns. The fund's manager actively adjusts the composition and weighting of these holdings with the aim of generating superior returns relative to the benchmark, while concurrently striving to minimize the risk of underperformance over time.
