The Columbia Seligman Global Technology Fund Institutional Class's core objective is to achieve sustained capital growth over the long term. It typically allocates a minimum of 80% of its total assets, including any borrowed capital utilized for investment, to equity holdings of companies—both domestic and international—that are engaged in technology or related industries. Furthermore, a substantial portion, at least 40% of its net assets, is designated for international entities. These are defined as companies whose primary operations or principal business is located outside the U.S., whose securities trade on foreign exchanges, or which were formed under the laws of non-U.S. jurisdictions.
