Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A., known as Eletrobras (EBR-B), is a prominent Brazilian entity that, through its subsidiary operations, is centrally involved in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power across Brazil. The company harnesses a varied energy mix, producing electricity from hydroelectric, thermal, nuclear, wind, and solar sources. As of December 31, 2021, Eletrobras's substantial assets included: 32 hydroelectric power plants, which collectively provided an installed capacity of 46,295.75 megawatts. Nine thermal power facilities, encompassing units fueled by coal, oil, and natural gas, contributing a total installed capacity of 1,505 megawatts. Two nuclear power stations: Angra I, with a 640-megawatt capacity, and Angra II, generating 1,350 megawatts. The company also maintained an expansive electricity transmission network extending 66,556 kilometers. Eletrobras was established in 1962 and is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
