The Home Health and Hospice segment primarily serves the Southeast and Texas regions. As of June 1, 2022, Encompass Health maintained a substantial network, managing 149 hospitals, 252 home health locations, and 99 hospice locations spread across 42 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. The company, which established its roots in 1983 and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, was formerly known as HealthSouth Corporation until its name change to Encompass Health Corporation in January 2018.
