The fund primarily aims to achieve substantial long-term capital growth for its investors. To meet this objective, under normal market conditions, it dedicates at least 80% of its total assets (including any funds borrowed for investment purposes) to various equity and equity-related securities within the healthcare and life sciences industries. These holdings can include common stocks, stock options, preferred shares, and convertible debt instruments. The fund also has the flexibility to invest without any geographical limitations in companies domiciled outside the United States, either through direct ownership of their securities or by utilizing American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). Moreover, it is not restricted by company size and may invest in businesses of any market capitalization.
