Equitrans Midstream Corporation (ETRN) specializes in the ownership, operation, acquisition, and expansion of natural gas gathering, transmission, and storage infrastructure, alongside water services assets, primarily located in the Appalachian Basin. The company's operations are divided into three distinct business units: the Gathering System, the Transmission and Storage System, and the Water Service System. The Gathering System segment encompasses a substantial network, featuring 1,130 miles of high-pressure gathering lines, bolstered by approximately 485,000 horsepower of compression and multiple points of interconnection. This segment also incorporates about 910 miles of low-pressure gathering lines that are regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The Transmission and Storage System consists of 950 miles of FERC-regulated interstate pipelines. These critical pipelines establish connections with seven other interstate pipeline systems and a variety of local distribution companies. Within the Water Service System segment, ETRN manages two independent pipeline networks, totaling approximately 200 miles. These systems are responsible for delivering fresh water sourced from the Monongahela River, the Ohio River, local reservoirs, and various other regional waterways. Equitrans Midstream Corporation was established in 2018 and its main corporate office is situated in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
