This passively managed fund offers investors exposure to undervalued U.S. companies, spanning both large and mid-capitalization segments. It employs a smart beta strategy, guided by a distinct, rule-based proprietary index to identify specific strategic investment factors. The selection process starts with the thousand largest U.S. stocks. These are then rigorously screened using a comprehensive factor score, which incorporates indicators such as free cash flow generation, a company's operating profit relative to its enterprise value, its tangible asset value compared to its market price, and anticipated earnings over the coming year in relation to its share price. For banking institutions, however, the evaluation solely relies on return on equity and the debt-to-asset ratio. To mitigate any size-related bias, this composite score is integrated with a size factor. Ultimately, between 60 and 100 securities are chosen, with selections made within each sector based on their size-adjusted composite score. Sectors that exhibit higher returns on invested capital are assigned a greater weighting. The index's composition is updated semi-annually.
