This fund invests in a diversified portfolio of other Fidelity funds, including those focused on U.S. equities, international equities (encompassing both established and emerging markets), fixed-income securities, and short-term holdings. It employs a dynamic asset allocation methodology that progressively shifts towards a more conservative stance. Ultimately, the fund's investment mix is designed to converge with that of the Fidelity Freedom® Income Fund, which comprises approximately 17% in domestic equity funds, 7% in international equity funds, 46% in bond funds, and 30% in short-term funds. This final, more cautious allocation is projected to be reached roughly 10 to 19 years after the year 2055.
