The First Trust AlphaDEX U.S. Health Care Sector Index ETF (the "Fund") aims to closely match the performance of the StrataQuant Health Care Index, after accounting for its operating expenses. The Fund's investment strategy primarily involves purchasing and holding the individual stocks (Constituent Securities) that make up this target Index, maintaining their respective weightings, or investing in other instruments designed to achieve similar performance. The StrataQuant Health Care Index itself is developed by applying the AlphaDEX methodology to the Russell 1000 Index, which encompasses large and mid-capitalization companies within the U.S. stock market. From the qualifying securities found within the Russell 1000, only those belonging to the Health Care Sector are ultimately chosen to form the constituents of the StrataQuant Health Care Index.
