The First Trust Energy Infrastructure Fund operates as a closed-end equity mutual fund, managed principally by First Trust Advisors L.P., with co-management responsibilities held by Energy Income Partners LLC. Its investment strategy focuses on publicly traded companies within the United States. Specifically, the fund aims to allocate capital to businesses integral to the energy infrastructure sector. This includes traditional entities such as pipeline operators and utility companies, as well as other firms that generate at least half of their revenue from either operating or providing services to support essential infrastructure assets.
